Tom Weichart
Thomas “Tom” Weichart, MSA, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC is a healthcare leader and board-certified family nurse practitioner, who values service, integrity, and persistence. Tom is a decorated army veteran; he first entered the U.S. Army service in 1986 straight out of high school as a private. In 1989, he transitioned to the Florida Army National Guard as he entered college. In 1995, Tom was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant for the U.S. Army. Tom has served in numerous roles in healthcare, at a variety of medical systems. He had the privilege to have served in Desert Storm, the Balkan War, and in Iraqi Freedom. Additionally, he had the unique opportunity to serve as a Presidential Executive Nurse in the White House Medical Unit, caring for President George W. Bush and his family. He worked closely with the U.S. Secret Service and other National Agencies. Tom has held numerous positions in healthcare and in leadership earning him numerous awards and honors.
Tom received his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Florida. He has also earned a master’s in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University, a master’s in nursing from the University of Central Florida, a master’s in theological studies from Liberty University, and graduate certificates in healthcare education and as a family nurse practitioner both from the University of Central Florida.
In 2008, Tom transitioned from the U.S. Army into civilian life and private practice. He has worked in primary care, urgent care and in occupational healthcare settings.
